How to install TWRP recovery on Android via Fastboot

Step 1. Enable USB Debugging on your device.

Go to the About phone tab and tap seven times on the Build number. This activity enables or activates Developer options.

Users can go back to Settings and check the Developer options there and open the same.

Then tick the USB Debugging checkbox. Note: This process might differ from device to device.

Step 2. Download the TWRP Recovery .img file compatible with your device and rename it to twrp.img

Step 3. Copy the twrp.img file to Fastboot folder and press and hold the Shift key and right click inside the folder at the empty space and choose Open command window here.

Step 4. Connect your device to PC using appropriate USB Cable and enter the below commands in CMD:

Step 5.Enter the following command on the command window opened:

adb reboot bootloader

Step 6. If your Android device asks permission such as “Allow USB debugging” then just tap on OK to proceed.

Step 7.Now when your Android is on the bootloader mode just execute the following command on the console:

fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.x.x-xxx.img

While executing this command make sure to replace the twrp-3.0.x.x-xxx.img with the actual file name of the TWRP that you have downloaded for your Android.

Step 8. Wait for the TWRP to be flashed. Once it is done execute the following command:

fastboot reboot

Finally reboot your device. It will take few minutes to complete the first boot.
