Good news for Samsung Users. AT&T releases new updates for Samsung device. New software update comes with October security patch
New October security patch update for Samsung Galaxy S7 Active along Galaxy S6 family and Note 5 now available.
The October security update will fix the notorious KRACK exploit which is a WiFi vulnerability, in this WPA2 protocol by forcing it to reuse in encryption algorithms used by your WiFi.
AT&T has already released a similar update for the Galaxy S8 variants.
All the updates are rolling out over-the-air (OTA). You can also check manually for updates, go to Settings > About device > System update.
All of these updates are based on Android 7.0 Nougat, and no, none are getting the Android Oreo update anytime soon.
