How to Update android 8 Oreo on Moto G4 Play
First Unlock your Moto G4 Play bootloader and Install TWRP Recovery.
Download Android 8.0 Oreo ROM for Moto G4 Play and Gapps from above link and move to your phone internal memmory
Reboot your device into TWRP Recovery.
Now in the TWRP main menu, Click on Wipe and swipe to factory reset on the bottom of the screen.
In TWRP, select ‘Backup’ and create Nandroid back up.
Now, select Wipe and then Advanced Wipe. Select Cache, System and Data partitions to be wiped and then Swipe to Wipe.
Go back to main TWRP menu, and then select Install. Navigate to /sdcard, and select the package.
Follow the on-screen prompts to install the package. Once done, install Gapps zip file also.
Finally reboot your device. It will take few minutes to complete the first boot.
